Summary

Dr. Salah uddin earned his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2012, a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi in 2004, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Balochistan UET Khuzdar in 2001. He served as Assistant District Officer in the C & W Department, Government of Balochistan till his appointment as Lecturer in Balochistan UET Khuzdar in 2005. He was later awarded a Ph.D. scholarship in 2007 under the FDP of HEC. After completing his Ph.D. in 2012, he was promoted to the position of Associate Professor and was given the charge of Head of the department. He served as HoD till 2019. Dr. Salah Uddin joined the NUST Balochistan campus in March 2021. Dr. Salah Uddin is serving as Head of the department since his joining at NBC. His main area of research is; • Experimental Geomechanics, • Advanced soil mechanics laboratory testing (triaxial, true triaxial) • Fibre reinforced soils (experiments, in situ implementation) • Crushing of granular soils • Micromechanics description of granular soils
